Levitate in the Air at Skyventure

Are you intrigued by the idea of skydiving but are completely against the idea of careening in a free fall out of a speeding airplane? Well, look no further! Skyventure in Nashua provides all the thrills and excitement of being weightless as a feather without the fear of falling to one’s untimely doom on the ground below.

So what exactly is Skyventure?

Skyventure is a recreational complex that features a state-of-the-art flight chamber that provides an upwards airflow that mimics the force of wind at high altitudes. “Flyers” are then provided an introductory class, gear and the courage to step inside. For a brief, yet amazing introduction video, click here: Skyventure Video

What should I expect when I show up?

Skyventure staff encourages all participants to show up at least forty-five minutes early to provide enough time to check-in, put on gear and take part in the instruction class. Any flyers under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by a guardian. Otherwise, practically anyone over the age of three can participate, making this an ideal family outing. However, there are a few restrictions to keep in mind:

You can participate as long as:

  • You are less than 250 pounds.
  • You are at least 3 years of age and can fit in the gear.
  • You are not pregnant.
  • You have not suffered from a prior shoulder dislocation.
  • You are not under the influence of alcohol or non- prescribed drugs.
  • You are not wearing a hard cast

Once your class is over, you will head to the gear counter to outfit yourself in:

  • Flight Suit that fits over your normal clothing
  • Pro fly helmet
  • Goggles
  • Earplugs
  • Knee and elbow pads

Make sure not to wear anything too large, baggy, uncomfortable or complicated that may make putting on the suit difficult.

Once your gear is on, a bell will sound and you will position yourself with your group in the outer chamber of the flight chamber. The flight instructor will test the airflow by walking on a steel trampoline net on the floor.  Once everything is set up, the instructor will call the first flyer forward.  The instructor will help the flyer remain in a neutral position before he or she lets go. Then it is your time to fly! You receive one full minute and then a second full minute after all the other flyers have been launched into that aerial chamber.

That sounds awesome! How much does it cost?

It costs $55 for a single flyer to fly for two minutes. Those wishing to fly very high up into the tunnel can purchase an upgrade for $5. Those looking to double their time can pay an additional  $40 (or $95 total) for this time. Here are some additional rates:

10 Minutes $195/ max 2 people
15 Minutes $270/ max 3 people
20 Minutes $360/ max 4 people
30 Minutes $475/ max 12 people
60 Minutes $900/ max 12 people
