	Spring  Weed control!  Take care of them now, before they put down deep tap roots or go to seed.  Fertilize and mulch in and around plant beds, shrubs and trees.  Mulch will hold needed moisture through the seasons. Mid-spring is also a good time for planting dahlias, most lilies, and gladioli for summer blooms, but hold off a bit longer on sensitive Canna lilies and tuberous begonias. If you haven't planted or set out berries yet—blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries—now's your chance! Just be sure they have plenty of water. Treat new planted fruit trees for pests after the first buds appear on branches. Tips - Weed Killers  (make your own) 1. Pore boiling water on the weeds, gets rid of them down to the root. 2.  1 cup of Vinegar, 2 cups soapy water - kills weeds like Round up (needs sunny hot days for this)
	Summer Growing Season  121 days      Last Frost - Late May    First Frost - Late Sept  Mulching your planting beds is very important! It seals moisture in with the plants and flowers and at the same time keeps weeds at bay. Plants go into shock when planted too late in the season. Early to mid May is a great time to begin -- it gives the plants time to form roots before the heat of July and August sets in. Put a fresh dead or fake snake in your garden each year & birds will leave your garden alone. Tomato horn worms -- Plant dill around your tomato bed. It's a great way to keep tomato horn worms from getting the better of your plants. When to Pick -- The best time to harvest fruits and vegetables for maximum flavor is in the morning. Vinegar helps rid of weeds in pathways
	Fall For the best looking lawn next spring, apply fall lawn fertilizers & grass seed in late September or October. This will help stimulate both root & crown growth. To divide most spring and summer blooming perennials. This should be done 6 weeks before the first hard freeze occurs in your garden to allow the plants to become established. Fall is the best time to plant perennial flowers, trees, shrubs & evergreens.  The reason is because the plants are beginning to go into dormancy and the soil temperature is still warm compared to the air creating an ideal environment for root development.
	Winter Plan your spring garden. Read garden books and plan new projects for next season Clean up debris in and around  your yard and garden from storms and wind damage.
